GUE Performance Diver is a short program that will provide you with the necessary tools to master the key diving skills – proper position, buoyancy control and effective propulsion techniques. As part of the course, you will also learn basic safety procedures and get a solid theoretical foundation.
This course is an ideal choice for those who do not yet feel ready to attend the GUE Fundamentals course or have a limited amount of time.
Each GUE course includes a swimming test. In this case, it is:
With the new adaptive GUE Mastery Learning learning platform, you can start learning theory at your own pace as soon as you sign up for training. The instructor will have insight into your progress and, if necessary, will explain the most problematic issues to you. Thanks to this solution, during practical classes, you will spend more time in water and use your knowledge in real conditions. The instructor will still share his expertise with you.
During your GUE Performance Diver course you will learn such topics as:
During the training, you will master: the standard configuration and functionality of GUE equipment, issues related to trim and buoyancy, basic propulsion techniques, team protocols. Safety procedures are also an important element of the class. We will practice emergency scenarios such as gas sharing with a minimum deco ascent without any point of reference.
The course also covers theory and practice in the use of nitrox.
The curriculum includes:
No matter what level of training you start with, we guarantee that you will improve your diving techniques and expand your knowledge. During the course, we focus on details in the area of individual and team skills.
Once you have received your GUE Performance Diver certification, you can continue your education with GUE by taking a shorter version of the GUE Basic Fundamentals course.
Here we are flexible. We can carry out this training in our vicinity (Gdańsk and Tri-City). We can also organize a GUE Performance Diver in the Deepspot pool. We also regularly train in other places in Poland or abroad. Contact us and we will certainly choose the right place 🙂
Check GUE hardware requirements : https://www.gue.com/standards-appendix and prepare your setup accordingly. Contact us. We will advise you on how to prepare for the training.
You don’t need a high level of experience to take this training. You just need to have at least an OWD level in any diving organization. If you will be using a drysuit and/or a twinset configuration during training, you should make at least 10 dives in this configuration or complete the GUE Drysuit Primer and/or Doubles Primer training before.
The GUE standards are unambiguous. If a diver does not meet the minimum requirements for passing a given class, unfortunately they cannot receive the certification immediately.
No worries. If you fail the training, you will get the time necessary to practice, correct what you missed and take the exam at a different time.
For most divers, the first training in GUE is the moment when everything finally start making sense. The GUE Performance Diver program is a perfect fit for recreational divers who seek a new quality in diving and strive for excellence. We will focus on basic diving skills that probably no one has ever explained to you in such detailed way.
A solid foundation is the most important part of preparing for all the next steps in your diving career.
