GUE Technical Fundamentals training is the best way to master or refine essential for responsible technical and cave diving. Even if you already have a lot of experience – this training will take the precision of your diving to a whole new level.
The course starts at the time of registration. After signing up for the training, you get access to the GUE Master Learning platform for self-study of theory. Thanks to this, we will be able to spend more time in the water on site than in the lecture hall 🙂
The practical part consists of 4 intensive diving days. We have at least 8 training dives to perform. Sample timetable:
Day 1: review and corrections in the equipment configuration, improving position, buoyancy and movement techniques, “Basic5” exercise, team diving and building situational awareness.
Day 2: conscious valves manipulation (valve-drill), correct use of the surface marker buoy (SMB), use of a spare mask in the event of the primary mask failure , primary light failure procedure.
Day 3: safety procedure (s-drill), i.e. reacting to an out-of-gas scenario in various situations, unconscious diver: retrieval, horizontal transport and ascent to the surface.
Day 4: ascents with a “minimum deco” profile, scenarios of emergency situations underwater, use of previously acquired skills in practice during dives to a depth of 30m.
During the training, our base will be Gdańsk. Depending on the weather conditions, we will be able to dive in the surrounding lakes or in the Baltic Sea.
The GUE Fundamentals Tech training is addressed to divers who want to improve their skills and knowledge and prepare for technical, cave and rebreather training. GUE’s high standards guarantee the development of individual and team competencies at the highest level. “Fundies” are also a gateway to participation in diving projects organized by Global Underwater Explorers.
