Kriegsmarine Week 2025

Gdańsk and the Tri-City area

08.07.2025
- 13.07.2025

A week of technical diving from Gdansk

We plan for a series of dives on the wrecks of Kriegsmarine ships sunk during World War II near Gdansk, Poland. Kriegsmarine Week 2025 is the next edition of our project dedicated to technical wreck divers who like to learn and protect historical knowledge about wrecks from World War II.

What and how?

In the vicinity of the Gulf of Gdańsk, there are at least a dozen ships of the German Kriegsmarine. Examples of wrecks that we can visit are: Franken, minesweeper Munin, U-272, U-367 and many others. Planned depth range: from 30m to 70m. Depending on the weather conditions and the number of volunteers, we anticipate up to 7 diving days! In addition to admiring the wrecks, we also want to document them better, so if you like to take photos, record videos or scan wrecks in 3D – be sure to take your toys with you.

Details

For whom?

Logistics

Boat:
THORR is a former patrol boat of the Maritime Border Guard. After the end of her service, she was taken over by a private owner and adapted for diving expeditions. It is equipped with an elevator, benches, berths and a barbecue :-).

Accommodation:

We can offer you budget rooms in our dive center for 50 PLN per night.

Alternatively, you can find many accommodation options on the https://www.booking.com and https://www.airbnb.com.

Important note:
The weather in the Baltic Sea is difficult to predict. We have to be flexible and adapt to weather conditions. What will we do if one day we can’t go to sea? We will dive on the wrecks of the Gulf of Gdańsk or in local lakes, we can also visit local tourist attractions.

You will definitely not be bored 🙂
