GUE Technical Fundamentals – Hańcza 2025

Lake Hańcza

06.08.2025
- 09.08.2025

A solid introduction to technical and cave diving.

Do you want to join GUE ? You already have experience with a twinset configuration? Are you a technical or cave diver but want to improve further?

Details

GUE Technical Fundamentals training is the best way to master or refine essential for responsible technical and cave diving. Even if you already have a lot of experience – this training will take the precision of your diving to a whole new level.

In addition to expanding your skills and knowledge of the fundamentals of technical diving, the GUE Technical Fundamentals certification gives you the opportunity to enroll in more advanced GUE courses such as GUE Tech1, Cave1 or CCR Fundamentals.

In addition, the Fundamentals course can be a ticket to participate in many projects organized by the Global Underwater Explorers community in Poland and abroad.

To participate in the training, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Age: minimum 16 years old
  • Health: having generally good health and being a non-smoker
  • Certificate: any cartificate issued by recognized organization, allowing you to dive to a depth of 30m or more.
  • Experience:
    – At least 75 dives performed after the basic diving course, including at least 25 dives to a depth greater than 21m.
    – At least 25 dives in a twin configuration, or 15 such dives after completing the GUE Doubles Primer course.

Timetable

The course starts upon registration. After signing up for the training, you get access to the GUE Master Learning platform to start online learning. Thanks to this, we will be able to spend more time in the water than in the classroom.

The practical part consists of 4 intensive diving days. We have at least 8 training dives to perform. Example, general timetable:

Day 1: review and corrections in the equipment configuration, improving position, buoyancy and propulsion techniques, “Basic5” exercise, team diving protocols and building situational awareness.

Day 2: conscious valves manipulation (valve-drill), correct use of the surface marker buoy (SMB), use of a spare mask in the event of the primary mask failure , primary light failure procedure.

Day 3: safety procedure (s-drill), i.e. reacting to an out-of-gas scenario in various situations, unconscious diver: retrieval, horizontal transport and ascent to the surface.

Day 4: ascents using the “minimum deco” profile, emergency situation scenarios, use of previously acquired skills in practice during dives to a depth of 30m.

Sounds easy? During GUE training, we pay attention to the smallest details. Even if you start at a high level, we will raise the bar even higher to further increase your competence.
