GUE Drysuit Primer – Gdansk

The GUE Drysuit Primer is a one-day course that will open the door to new opportunities for you. Want to dive deeper? Longer? More often (also in winter) ? A dry suit is an essential piece of equipment.

What will you learn?
During this course you will learn:
how to select and properly operate a dry suit, ✔
how to select and operate an undersuit and heating system,
✔ how to achieve proper buoyancy and trim in a new configuration, ✔
how to dive safely in cold waters,
✔ how to react to failures typical of dry suit diving. ✔

The program includes lectures, exercises on land and at least two dives. The course lasts a minimum of 8 hours.
During the training, we will visit the Santi Concept Store in Gdynia so that you can get to know the world of dry suits “behind the scenes” :).
In addition, after completing the training, you can stay for another day or two and take part in training dives to test the acquired skills in practice – for example, on the wrecks of the Gulf of Gdańsk.

Prerequisites
To take the course, you must:

• be at least 16 years old,
• be in good physical and mental condition,
• do not smoke,
• know how to swim,
• have a basic diving certificate (e.g. OWD or equivalent),
• Obtain your doctor’s approval if you are taking medication or have a medical condition that may affect diving safety.

• 17 August : Drysuit Primer training
• August 18-19: additional training dives (optional)

Why?
A dry suit is not only about comfort – it is about access to completely new conditions and possibilities. The GUE Drysuit Primer course will prepare you not only technically, but also mentally for dives in a demanding environment. It’s also a great way to get started with GUE diving in a safe, professional, and hands-on way. You don’t have to be a GUE diver to take part in this training!
