A DPV (Diver Propulsion Vehicle) is nothing more than an underwater scooter. This device is used to move the diver at a much higher speed and over longer distances than it is done with a pair of fins 🙂 In order to use a diving scooter (DPV) safely, consciously and effectively, you need to master the procedures and knowledge that is provided during this training. The course will be conducted in accordance with the rigorous standards of the ISSF (International Scuba Schools Federation) organization, which guarantees a solid dose of knowledge and skills.
The course takes two days. During the training, we will go through topics such as:
– DPV diving and equipment configuration,
– rules for safe use of a scooter underwater and on the surface,
– solving breakdowns related to the DPV ,
– navigation on the DPV over short and long distances,
– team communication and safety procedures.
Theoretical classes will take place at our headquarters in Gdańsk.
Theoretical classes will take place depending on weather conditions: in the Bay of Gdańsk (Tri-City and Hel Peninsula) or in the surrounding lakes.
Prerequisites for the training:
• Minimum age 18 years
• ISSF Open Water Diver 20 or equivalent •
Minimum 25 dives, with a total time spent underwater of not less than 750 minutes
Training cost : 1500 PLN (2 days)
